About the project
'The Old Soul' is a 5-minute short drama, telling the story of a a young man wants to enter the big movie industry as a successful script writer, but as status and connections are more valued than creative ideas, he has choose whether to give up on even
trying, or stay true to himself and fight for his worth.

This is a project very close to my heart as I worked as the scriptwriter alongside a good friend of mine as well as the art director of the film. It is my first ever production I have worked on, which won an award for 'Best Production Design' as well as being nominated for 'Best Short Film', 'Best Cinematography' and 'Best Sound' at Breda University Film Festival 2022.
Process
Showing the harsh reality of the modern world through visual storytelling has been an incredible experience from which I learned so much. From hundreds of drafts, through the final script and finally seeing the whole movie on the big screen has been a fulfilling and inspiring journey. Also, as the Art Director I went into so much details into the story, the world and the characters, I was completely captivated. Every prop has a meaning and every color has an explanation.
